Background of the Study
Team collaboration refers to the process of individuals working together within a team to achieve common goals. Effective collaboration can lead to enhanced creativity, faster problem-solving, and improved performance. In the banking sector, where service delivery and customer satisfaction are key, the performance of an organization is significantly influenced by the ability of teams to collaborate efficiently.

Access Bank, a major player in the Nigerian banking sector, operates across several states, including Bauchi State, where its branch staff work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals. The bank’s performance in Bauchi State, as in other regions, is heavily reliant on the effectiveness of team collaboration, particularly in achieving targets and delivering quality services.

This study seeks to examine the relationship between team collaboration and organizational performance at Access Bank in Bauchi State. It will explore how collaboration among employees in different departments and branches contributes to achieving organizational goals and improving overall performance.

Statement of the Problem
Despite the increasing recognition of the importance of teamwork in organizational success, there is limited research on the specific impact of team collaboration on organizational performance in Nigerian banks. Access Bank’s team collaboration strategies in Bauchi State may have varying levels of impact on the bank’s performance. This study aims to explore how effective team collaboration contributes to improved organizational outcomes at Access Bank.

Objectives of the Study

  2. To evaluate the impact of interdepartmental collaboration on the bank's overall performance.

  3. To provide recommendations for improving team collaboration to drive better organizational outcomes at Access Bank.

Research Hypotheses

Scope and Limitations of the Study
This study will focus on the relationship between team collaboration and organizational performance at Access Bank in Bauchi State. Limitations include potential biases in self-reported data on team collaboration and challenges in isolating the impact of collaboration from other organizational factors influencing performance.
